Welcome to our extended class package. This add-on to your normal membership will help you child boost their ninja skills to the next level! This course is 12 weeks long, broken up in 4 week segments with the first three weeks building on the fundamentals your child learned in class and the last one focusing on course runs!
Don't worry if you start in the middle of the course, the lessons will be repeated indefinitely (we just ask that you start the the beginning of a 4 week segment).
The classes will focus primarily on:
Week 1: Oof Proofing
a) Overcoming Fears
b) Building confidence in the ability to fall safely from a variety of more advanced obstacles
Week 2: Basic Parkour Movements
a) Vaults
b) Cat-Grabs
c) Tacks and more!
Week 3: Core Blaster!
a) Explaining why core strength is essential to so many obstacles
b) Main Core
c) Oblique
d) Back
Week 4: Ninja Course run
a)Putting our skills together
b) Techniques for planning a course run; visualization
c) Efficiency
Week 5: Lache Drills
a) Understanding the different part of the lache
1) The Front Swing
2) The Back Swing
3) The Throw
b) Breaking down each part with drills designed to maximize the child's lache distance
Week 6: Balance Drills
a) Activating the stability muscles in the ankle and core
b) Balancing when rested
c) Balancing when tired
d) Focusing on bar and beam balance
Week 7: Endurance Training
a) Improving students' aerobic system
1) Deadhangs
2) Aerobic exercises
b) Doing obstacles when tired
Week 8: Ninja Course Run
a) Putting our skills together
b) Techniques for planning a course run; visualization
c) Efficiency
Week 9: Lache Practice
a) Reinforcing "The Throw"
b) Learning Timing based on the location of the next lache
c) Understanding trapeze based swings
Week 10: Balance Practice
a) Activating the stability muscles in the ankle and core through balance beam and bar sets
b) Understanding the technique of the two basic balance obstacles:
1) Static balance
2) Agility
Week 11: Pull Training
a) Understanding the principals for pulling and reaching
1) Banded Pullups
2) Australian Pullups
3) Kipping
Week 12: Ninja Course run
a) Putting our skills together
b) Techniques for planning a course run; visualization
c) Efficiency
